The Lambda multimedia column wins the renowned design award

Taunusstein, 28 October 2011. The Expotechnik Group, one of the leaders in spatial brand staging, has received the 2012 iF product design award for the Lambda multimedia information column. With this achievement, Lambda has shown the edge it has in the face of strong international competition. It was as much the elegant design and the materials as the integrated high-quality multimedia technology that convinced the iF jury.

“The design award for the Lambda column is already the tenth award that the Expotechnik Group has received at the iF product design awards. A wonderful confirmation that we are on the right path with our high quality and design standards,” said Group President Patrick O. Soschinski. The Lambda multimedia column is an attractive medium for presentations and videos at trade fairs and events. It features screens in the three different sizes 24", 46" and 70” as well as an integrated mini PC housed inside the unit. In addition, you have a choice between single-touch screens in sizes 24” and 46" or the classic version with a tray or shelf for a computer keyboard and mouse. A built-in speaker provides for the output of acoustic signals. The sleek design and high-quality materials such as glass and aluminium give the column its elegant appearance.

The iF label is regarded as a global seal of quality for outstanding design. The award has been the hallmark of good design since 1953; by now it is considered to be one of the most prestigious design competitions worldwide. This year, 1,605 participants from 48 countries were in the running for the IF product design award. The award ceremony will take place at the BMW Welt in Munich on 10 February 2012. All the award-winning products will be exhibited at CeBIT 2012 in Hall 18.
